Trailhead Elevation: 9390 feet
Destination Elevation: 11,760 feet
Elevation Gain (two way): 2570 feet   (What's This?)
Distance (one way): 4.2 miles
Difficulty Index (two way): 13.5   (What's This?)

The trail to Chasm Lake branches off the main trail to Longs Peak.  You'll see Peacock Pool and Columbine Falls along the way.  Take care when the trail crosses large snowfields, near the lake, that persists well into the summer.  Popular with climbers, the sheer east face of Longs Peak (The Diamond) towers nearly 2500 feet above the lake.
