Here's a photo I took last November while we were in the Park. I was parked on the Bear Lake Road waiting for the sun to come up on the Divide when I was able to capture this sunrise. The irony was I set out early that AM to catch the sun hitting the Divide, but with the cloud cover didn't get the shot I wanted. I had my tripod and SLR all set up pointing west, turned east, saw this sunrise and snapped it with my digital without the use of the tripod. West Creek Falls can be reached via the Cow Creek Trailhead. I took a solo hike there one afternoon in July, 2000. The short hike to the falls requires crossing a saddle, which is steep on both sides, but not too high. I took several photos on Fuji Velvia that day, using a Nikon F3HP. Exposure info determined with Gossen LunaPro SBC handheld meter. This particular frame is my favorite from that day and was taken through a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. Scanned using Nikon LS2000 scanner.
