Taken about noon on September 21st on the trail to Chasm Lake. We got lucky and couldn't have asked for better weather. When we got to the lake, all you could hear was the wind and some birds. I could have sat there forever, it was so beautiful and peaceful. RMNP is truly a special place. Hope you enjoy the picture. We awoke from our cabin to see a heavy layer of low hanging clouds in the Estes Park valley area. We made a mad dash up the Gem Lake trail to get above them and shoot toward Longs Peak. Unfortunately, they blew through too quickly so the clouds were gone by the time we arrived at this photo location. However, the view that remained was incredible.
