Calypso Cascade is best photographed about midday when the sun rises above the pines which line its banks. It's one of our favorite places in RMNP. Taken June 8, 2003 Submitted by John Swadley [Medium Size] [Full Size (768 x 1024, 353kB)] [Add comments about this photo] [View comments] |

This is the Big Thompson River in Moraine Park, one of my favorite spots to just sit and absorb the beauty. I took this on July 22, 2005. Submitted by RhondaM [Medium Size] [Full Size (599 x 1029, 152kB)] [Add comments about this photo] [View comments] |

A small waterfall just up Glacier Creek from Alberta Falls. We took the Glacier Gorge trailhead up to Alberta Falls and then followed the creek for a half mile or so (can't recall exactly) and found this gem. I used a tripod as well as a neutral density (ND) filter to get the long exposure which I thought turned out nicely. Erratic Rock Formation - Taken August 2005. About two thirds of the way up the trough on Longs Peak's keyhole route we paused for a break and there on the Southern edge of the trough was this unusual erratic rock formation. Or is it the largest cairn in the park? While not a stunningly beautiful photo it is the most unusual one we had from that trip. Lake Granby, a few miles outside the west edge of RMNP (I'm assuming the mountains in the background are within the bounds of the Park). We had driven Trail Ridge Road that day, and having been told that Granby Lake was worth seeing, we drove the extra few miles to see it. Oddly enough, I don't remember being particularly impressed while we were there, but in going through our photos I found that I really liked this one.
