139.  The Columbines of Colorado are in my opinion, the most beautiful flower of the Rockies. In mid-August they were growing all down the southern slope of Mt. Hallett.  Taken August 2004.

137.  Notchtop Mountain, one of the peaks along the trail that goes from Bear Lake to Fern Lake Trailhead.  It's a fantastic hike, and when the shuttle is running, you can get a ride back up to your car.

134.  Elk at Sunrise - This was taken with a 180mm lens off a tripod at Sunrise across the road from the entrance into Horseshoe Park and Fall River Road as an Elk heard began wandering over the ridge from Sheep Lakes.  Exposure was approximately 1/2000th at about F5.6-8 to gain a silhouette with ISO 100 Fuji Reala print film.

133.  The Loch - I took this picture May 2004 on our annual hike in RMNP.  The photograph is of the Loch, facing Taylor Peak and slightly to the left is Taylor Glacier.  Lake of Glass and Sky Pond are just over the pass.  Our ascent ended at the top of the Continental Divide seen in the right of the photograph.  Lots of snow and wind!!

132.  Snow On Trail Ridge - This was taken from the back of the Alpine Visitors' Center on Trail Ridge Road, August 2003.  I love the sweep of the snow at the crest of the ridge, with the contrast against the green and blue.  The bank of snow in the foreground is about six to eight feet thick!

131.  Longs Peak - Taken the second day of summer (6/22) where the mountains received 8-10 inches of snow the day before.  This is one of the most familiar scenes on Trail Ridge road.
